Hey Ya'll.....I feel God working in my life!! I wish everyday was a crossroads day...why can't it be....you are in control of your own destiny. You can choose to be content where you are as a baby Christian or possibly not a Christian at all....or you can let your light shine for the whole world to see...and people wonder what you have and how they can have it too!!
I put on my facebook status that God is the CENTER of my life.....and you know what he really is!! The Holy Spirit is sitting on my heart right now guiding every thought, word and deed
If you are obedient to God's will for your life.....He will show you the way! and you will be blessed...look at Abraham....oh you don't know about him....welll there you go..the Bible has tons of stories ...just pick it up sometime and dust it off and read away to learn obedience to God's will.
Just back from Crossroads Winter Conference...take a few to just think about how you felt when you got back from Crossroads!! So, I'm trying to figure out WHY when "Clayton Says..." at Crossroads we do it and why we don't when we come back home?
At CRWC.....hands were lifted praise, God was in the House...Carl and Heather Cartee were rocking the music and no one cared what anyone around them thought...it was a HOLY SPIRT moment. The preaching was amazing... Jason asked me to say a few words about it last week at TWT, but Satan stepped in and it was cancelled.....SO..next week, I probably will be at a swim meetin Chapel Hill ......althought Dane, Katy, Rae and Emily will probably be there...we might too if we get done...
Anyways...I figured you would actually read this....where on Wednesday night the focus really is not on worship? Come on ya'll ....I am about to make a few middle and high schoolers ill here...but some of you cannot let go of your "boyfriend/girlfriend's" (for THIS week anyway) hand long enough to even look up Bible text. Maybe if you tried to think about having that kind of gripping relationship with God ....where you hold on to His hand for dear life....maybe then you would realize how powerful and strong He is..how much of an influence He can be in your daily lives.
About that Bible.....where is it? I think we should take a $1 fine from each person that does not have their Bible and send that $$ to missions....we could actually feed a whole village in Haiti. The Bible is the Word of God......it is important to have it with you EVERY time you come to worship. This is not about a set of rules set by RBC or TWT..it is about wanting to thirst for the Word and know more about what is in there..it's about figuring it out.
I would love to see our youth group revitalized and bold in their witness...not just come for 1 hour on Wednesday to socialize and see who is at youth group. If you would just discipline yourselves to put God FIRST......pray about everything and without ceasing. God will prepare you for so much and open so many doors for you that you will be surprised how much time you have to take care of your God business. How come we go to a ACC bball game, race or even a NHS vs RHS bball game and can 'act a fool' ....when we cannot even do that for God!! Cheer for God the same way you do your favorite team...can you imagine if we were fanatical Christians.....I mean we should be!! YEAH GOD! I think maybe at Metamorphosis we should do that.....get everyone to dress for their favorite team ....get all painted up and sticker up our faces and bring our pom poms.....megaphones and then see which 'team' loves God the most!!!!
Ask yourself some of these questions:
Why do I come to youth group?
Why don't I ask my friends to come?
What did Jason/Marshall say last week? I bet some have no clue.....it's not them speaking..it is God delivering through them.
Did I hurt anyone today? If so...how can I fix it?
Am I glorifying God in everything I do?
How can I glorify God?
Am I obedient to God's will?
Did I pray today?
Do I have time for God? I have time for so many other things..why not God?
If I died today ...would I go to heaven?
So to close......for my thoughts on Crossroads Winter Conference...I suggest you save $$ for next year's trip (right after Christmas)...sacrifice some other thing that you will spend $$ on and go to Gatlinburg for this trip
Secondly.....be with God in your own space at your own moment....do not worry about those around.....feel Him from the inside out and let it spill out of you with enthusiam for the God of Heaven who sent Jesus to die so you could live forever!! Praise The Lord.....Blog me back...
